I'm glad to have the opportunity to share some of my thoughts and practices with you. I’m a psychotherapist who practices with preschoolers, children, adolescents, adults, and families, using a mixture of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and creative therapeutic methods.
Therapy can be helpful in different ways for many different people. Some people have overwhelming emotions that they are struggling to understand and manage. Sometimes parents want their children to learn strategies around managing their feelings and behaviors, or want them to learn new skills relating to communication or interacting successfully with peers. Many times, a person might be struggling to manage a life transition and want some outside support. A family might want to come in to improve their relationship by working together on communication skills.
Whatever the struggle, it can be helpful to have a supportive, objective, nonjudgmental person on your side.
Please feel free to call me to arrange a free initial 30 minute phone consultation. I look forward to speaking with you and to getting to know you better.
It means that we do our work together by starting with the places that you, your child, or your family finds most important. If we’ve gone down a direction that you don’t like or you think is unhelpful, that’s something I encourage you to share. As a therapist, we always work together, connecting my expertise as a therapist with your expertise as the person who knows yourself or your child best.
